OK... so who's got holiday sewing started? Who plans to do some sewing? Halloween costumes? Thanksgiving window treatments or table treatments? Maybe some Christmas gifts? I started some jammies for my daughter that she asked for and a quilt... hoping that I manage to get the quilt finished in time!! I wanted to make my halloween costume, but didn't because my son's College Open House is the same night as the town's Halloween party. I plan to make a couple of other things as well... we'll see how much time I manage to find. So, do tell!! What are all of your projects?? Kaza[/size]

I'm making a reversible polar fleece bed throw/blanket. One side is going to be a fall type Northwoods Print and the other is a Winter Pine/Pine Cone print. I picked up some really cute material with sunflowers and chickens that compliments my dishes; I plan on making new kitchen curtains-not a big job since there's one window over the sink and just the window in the door going outside. ;D I know it's not sewing but I have had a 'I taught myself to knit' kit for about 4 yrs now. I never even opened it and now I'm actually going to give it a try! I may end up making the worlds longest scarf but at least I can say " I made it".

I'm dressing two American Girl type dolls for some young ladies...
And hoping to get this quilt block swap finished on HT so I'll have more time.
I have one costume to do for someone due a week before Halloween, but it's just a wizards cloat/coat.
Adn an apron for one granddaughter, and two knitted hats for the two granddaughters.

Angie I work at our local post office every other saturday as post mater relief and homeschool my older 2 kids I get a lot of my sewing done while going through pre-algebra,literature and history, it also helps when i spend a day (all day today) cutting out so i just need to sit and sew on quilt blocks and the skirts 2 of which are jeans that i cut off and am adding a full ruffled skirt onto so i have my pockets when i need to dress up a little. the pajamas are going to be home ec projects in the next 2 weeks the kids will be helping cut them out and sewing a pair each and i'll sew the rest of them ;D my blouses and dress will be the items shoved off into jan. if needed as i can live without them but i can't skip the holidays for the kids and friends ya know. Kathy my mom has told me 3 times today that i will be bald and still quilting at midnight christmas eve to try to get these all under the tree and she's probably half right

I made a really simple fleece blanket last year for my brother. He was newly divorced and lacking blankets and he wanted something for his couch. I took two pieces of fleece that were different but went together well. One was solid dark blue, and the other one was lighter blue fabric with a wolf on it. I cut a fringe around both pieces after cutting them the same size. I then just tied the fringe together. No sewing required!
Now that I think about it, I think someone talked about it on here...let me go look. Hmm, I could have swore it was here, but maybe HT.

Pauline - that Amish quilt swap may run Nan and I crazy.... what people want, and which rules some want to bend, stretch and break! And people who don't sew wanting to do two sets> Oh MY.
All those quilts are really WOW.... I'm still working on doll stuff, and hemming t-shirts for Daughter (used new coverstitch machine). And now I've got the Amish swap to get started, washing the fabrics tonight.
