Most of us that do the quilt block swap at HT use the quilter's cache quite a bit.
I've bought an inexpensive quilt block s/w so I can make up my own designs. Recently I tried bargello quilt block design I saw in a book I have. Looks really great and takes all afternoon using a sewing machine to make one block.

Angie, I'm more of a 'Make a whole quilt in a weekend' type of gal! Some would say I have no patience! ;D I bet yours is much prettier and artistic but mine will leave me with some hair left on my head and normal blood pressure! ;D

That's a cool site Kathy, and I love the square pattern. I think I'm going to have a hard time choosing which pattern to do.

I like that square pattern. I'm also one who doesn't have the patience to spend weeks/months on a project. I've done a couple of lap quilts but they were very plain. Now I'm ready to start on a quilt and hope I can follow through with it. I bought a bag of quilt blocks at Goodwill the other day. They're ready to put together and I have to figure out how to do that. The background on all the blocks is white and I want to put some kind of strips between the blocks.

When my daughter was tiny I wanted to make her one of those puff quilts for her baby bed. I did make her a quilt, it's an applique quilt. All by hand, it turned out very beautiful if I do say so. I enjoyed it.
