I hope this is the appropriate place. I was able to get to my sewing room yesterday! ;D It's a mess though because Roger and the cats have made it their own. You see, for the past 6 months, I have not been able to cllimb the stairs. (Long story-physical problems). Yesterday, I decided to try and it took awhile, but I got there. And, it's amazing how a person never forgets how to sew. I just started in on the patching AFTER wielding a dust cloth and the vacuum cleaner.

I know sewing is something that brings you a lot of happiness! I hope the stairs don't prevent you from sewing in the future-maybe when the day comes that you can't manage the stairs Roger could move your sewing room downstairs. Don't forget to post any pics of new projects-it give the rest of us the courage to try new projects. ;D

Good you could get back to the machine - hope you continue to be able to make it up to your room.

I make headway one day, cleaning my sewing room and putting things away. The next time I do a project, by the time I'm finished it's back to square one.

Oh I just love those stackable drawers!!! Handy to have! I could use either some of those or some more rubbermaid tubs... :/

I watched for a Christmas card from them thanking me for singlehandedly keeping their profits up-but alas nothing.

Kathy I use the Sterlite's in business also. I need to go buy about 20 or so...or make sure all the ones I have are full enough and re-stack.

Roger went upstairs and cleaned the storage room for me on New Years Day. It is about 10' by 10' in size, with shelves on one wall. He stores some of his beer making supplies there so I said he has to clean it! ;D In truth, it holds lots and lots of my sewing supplies. And, it is off the sewing room so I claim it as mine!
Yesterday, I vacuumed the sewing room. It is 17' by 17 '. (Yes, this is a big old farmhouse!) The cat hair was unbelieveable. Next time I'm up there, I'll do the balconey and dust. then I will be able to sew again!
One thing I try hard to do is to straighten and clean after every sewing session. I have one of those tiny hand vacs and I clean the sewing machine and serger and the table tops. then I use the large vacuum cleaner for the floor. That way, it doesn't get out of hand.
