Planning to make a costume for next year's Mardi Gras party. I have a couple ideas in mind... but if you all have any ideas, I'd sure love seeing/hearing them! Kaza

Probably a bit cold in MI this time of year for the traditional 'naughty French maid' look. How about 'an Indian princess' outfit? You'd look right in it, too. Start tanning those hides now, cause it's lots of work. Or maybe a female pirate look? Somehow the pirate look might be good for Mardi Gras. I'll see what else I can think up. Ah, to be young again.....!

.... just thought of it... I also have a pattern for one of those dreses from the "Wild West days" that were worn by "women of ill repute" lol... I can't think of what the style is called... but I picture it more like what the dancin gals wore. (yes, I have patterns for a LOT of "Historical clothing"

Oh..I love that one above in red! Pretty! Pirate costume out of that style would be nice! You could be the pirate wench...and maybe you could find a Johnny Depp look alike to play the pirate! Western Dancin girl...that sounds cute...but cccccold for this time of year! LOL!

Hmmmm....well....then you could always go as the bar room girl...or whatever they call that. Don't forget the hair"up" do with a nice feather....fluffy ostrich feather to match your dress! I went to a party as a harem girl once....been a long time ago....I have the picture somewhere. My friend didn't have a date so she went as a widow...dressed all in black and had a hat with a veil. We made an interesting picture standing side by side! I can't believe my mom let me out of the house dressed like that! and she MADE the costume! EEEK!

That blue one is gorgeous! I am partial to blue! What pattern number is it? Is it a new pattern or older retired one?
