Really neat Nan.....
Those are very special looking. And the detail with the feet really shows that you took special time.

I think I can still scan the one that I used...I just doodled it onto typing paper...do you still call it typing paper? LOL!

Me, me; I'd love the patterns! Btw Nan, thank you for the frog sketches. I cropped them and sized them to the size appliques I want to make and printed them off. I'm going to get some shiny green fabric and make me some froggies.

No problem Kathy! Glad you liked the froggies too! For quilt swaps I normally do some sort of applique! It satisfies the cut color and paste of my inner child! LOL!

Thanks Lavender! I took a close up so that you all could see them....because they show up better in person. You can't really see them at all in the big picture. I machine quilted around the chicken and her feet so that it would poof out a little bit. I didn't quilt around the wing because I was afraid it would make a "hot" spot on the hotpad! You know...too thin where it was stitched in.
They were really easy to make and I got to use my new walking foot! I JUST got it for my machine! I LOVE it! I will make many more machine quilted items with it!

Nan, now that you're back from your trip I'll tell you. The pictures that you sent of the pattern didn't come through. Well they came through but so does an error message that says that file can't be opened. I didn't want to add any stress to your already stressful trip so I thought I'd wait to tell you till you got back. If you could send them again but using a different program such as wordpad or even a jpg I could probably open it. I don't have Word on this computer but I do have wordpad.

I emailed it to you...but don't think it is going to work...Hey..I could try and take a photo of it...then email you the photo....it wouldn't be exact though, but you might be able to enlarge it on your photoshop thingy....whatcha' think? Hubby read what you wrote above...and he said that there aren't any other choices since we scanned it in. Ya' know me...I am completely NOT techy....so don't know anything else to try! I'm emailing you a photo copy of it...and at the end of the page....it cut the words off..."I got her beak a little large, you might have to give her plastic surgery!" LOL!

If you can send a picture, I think I can figure out the cutting instructions. I can enlarge and reduce photos, so I could probably get the size needed to do my appliques. Just like I did the frogs.
