I keep my always getting larger stash of fabric in the plastic bins from Dollar General/Walmart. I was having trouble remembering which tub had what fabrics in it. So I took a small swatch of each fabric and using the clear tape that is $2 at the Dollar General, I taped the swatches to the top of the lid. Now when I'm looking for a specific fabric or color, I just look on the lids-no more digging just to find out that wasn't the bin I thought it was in. I don't have many tips for sewing but this made my life and sewing adventures a little more pleasant.

Good idea! I love your little kitty at the bottom of your post. He looks alot like my Einstein. I noticed that, he's too small to tell if his eyes are such a pretty blue just like Einstein's. I figured I'd 'bugged' people long enough, time for a change.

Kathy, you are just toooooo organized!!! Didn't you know we "have" to root through all the bins to see what's in there cuz then we get ideas on what to use it for? That is a good idea tho... I'll prolly just keep rooting through my bins... it's kinda like shopping all over again sometimes. I find fabric I forgot I even had! lol Kaza
