I've recently gotten into geocaching, mostly as an activity to share with my beau's 9-year-old son. I've found it's a good way to get him to think outside the box (for things that are hidden) and for him to have some hands-on technogeek time. That is, when he can pry the GPSr out of my hands. Plus, it's an added incentive to get out and see cool stuff and get some exercize. Anybody here into Geocaching? You can find out more about it at www.geocaching.com, for those of you who have no clue as to what I'm yibbering about.

Lupine- Not to take you away from your own thread, but wanted you to know that a couple pages back on the Outdoorsman forum there is a thread about geocaching phoenixfriends.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=fishing&action=display&thread=1138995063Our family loves it. We were all excited to do more this summer and when I read your post this morning it dawned on me that we all have been so busy we haven't done any this summer! Another thing to add to the list to hurry and do before summer is out.

This is very big around here. We have a very diverse terrain and on weekends you see lots of folks climbing up rock hills, caving etc. It is great that this encourages people to get out and enjoy nature.
