Did you notice the beautiful polished wood floors in the chickenhaus?? ;D Those European chickens must be much better toilet trained than mine were!! Those designs are so unique and beautiful

I put one brood c*ck and three hens or pullets in a 8x8 chain link kennel. I have thirteen of these. I put stags under one year in a 4x4 wire pen with a roof and wood frame and dog wire. When their spurs harden I put each on a 8 ft neoprene leg hitch and put it next to a teepee. Pullets and hens are caught at 6 months and put in one of five hen pens. They measure 20x40. At any given time Ill have around 100 hens and pullets on the place. I like to give my hens a break from the brood pen during the off season when Im not breeding. In each hen pen and brood pen I build a small rectangle about 1'x3' and put hardware cloth on top of the 2x4's. I then plant grass in it so they always have fresh grass. This way they dont get anything but the tips and dont kill that grass. I use several brooder rooms with a propane brooder hood. they meausre 8x8 and are about three inchs deep in natural river sand.
