I like the ones made with cattle panels. have you seen them? they are very easy to make and look like they would be sturdyer. I made one for chickens last year that is portable. Ill try to get some pics soon.

Ill try to get some pics soon. I always saw those but how do you keep the plastic on them? I would have built a few since I always had spare cattle panels but couldn't figure out how to attach that plastic. I can't wait for pics-that might help me understand better.

the one I made for chickens I just put a tarp on ,so I used tarp straps
If I was to build one for a green house I would bolt 2x6s about 3ft up on both sides running the length of it to atatch the plastic too. and then drape the bottom with plastic that could be opened durring warm days

WOW BOb! That is kewl beans!!!! What a neat idea! You could get greenhouse plastic and it would work GREAT! I have always wanted one that you could WALK into!
I made a "hoop" house...that wasn't a hoop...out of just some straw bales one year! It was the best coldframe that I had ever had! I used 8 bales of straw and put them 3 on either side and one on either end...then put heavy clear plastic over the top with 2 by 4's about every 18 inches to hold it up to not sag! I put an extension cord out to it and put an old lamp out there that I turned on when it was going to get really cold out! I had salad greens ALL winter long! Even into February! By March it had gotten a little big...but I plant salad greens in March anyway....so it worked out well!

We used these when we were producing chickens. They worked great for that. We still have one up, but it will soon come down to use the fencing for something else. I love how they are easy to put up and take down. Because our's were always huge and long, we did make a 2 x 6 frame all around the edge to make it sturdier.
I also had dh build me one for a greenhouse. Put clear plastic on it. It would have worked great if I could have figured out how to put a heater in it. I tried keeping barrels of water in there but even in the winter plants froze. Now to start seeds early, or to use in the summer it worked great though.
