Anyone ever dehydrate celery? I have a countertop dehydrater but I haven't ever tried celery. Any advice? Celery is really easy to dry! I do separate the leaves from the chopped or sliced stems since the drying time is so different. So far I've only use dried celery in things like soups, casseroles or stuffings; so you'll have to experiement. Just wash & dry thoroughly. Chop or slice the stems in uniform pieces. Lay on the trays so they're not crowded but they can touch. I don't know if you have heat options or not. If you don't I'd check after about 9 hrs for dryness. Leaves should be dry after about 4-5 hrs If your dehydrator has a fan you shouldn't have to switch around trays but if it is a still air model, switch trays every 6-8 hrs. After 25 yrs, I finally an Excalibur so I have a setting for vegetables and it has the fan so I don't have to switch trays. I'm going on memory of how I did things when I had a still air model.

Thanks! Since it is just 2 of us now, I hate to waste celery. Now I will just dry it and have it ready for soups etc.
