Have any of you ever tried sauerkraut balls? I found a recipe for them and I might try making them. They are made of kraut, sausage, onions, cream cheese & spices. Formed into balls and chilled. Then fried in 2" of oil in a skillet. What do you think?

I wouild love to have the recipe...or do you just throw the amount of what you think should go in them? I made a sauerkraut dip for the first time a couple months ago. It was delicious, and even the twins who don't eat sauerkraut loved it. The sauerkraut balls that you described sound a lot like the dip but are balls AND they are fried and as we all know, anything fried is even better!
