I don't have millions of dollars to buy solar panels with. So, my hubby and I are using regular vinyl pane windows. We have put windows in our basement. then we are putting windows beside our bedroom door in order to create a skylight. We are also putting a window above my daughters bedroom door.The sunlight will be filtered into both bedrooms. We tried to create good fung shui.
Hopefully we can find some stained glass reasonably priced to add to the basement windows.
I would love to have solar panels, but I have priced those and I can't afford them. We are trying to get away from the electric monster. We put a wood stove in our basement. I love it.
We are trying to build an efficient house. personally, I would love to get off the grid. However, we have a teenager to consider.
