I had been searching for these plans for a while now. I had seen something similar pre Y2K and lost them in the move. I think this is a great concept for areas with a lot of sun! Free through the wall solar oven plans: solarcooking.org/bkerr/DoItYouself.htm

Hi Kathy - I thought it was that site.... very interesting, and I'd be willing to build something like that into a house.
I know I have the ingredients for a solar oven here at the house, just haven't built it yet. Might have to try it this summer.

The first project is a standard solar cooker that's free standing. But I see so many benefits for the through the wall version beyond actual cooking. Bread rising, keeping water heated, even leaving the door open for more heat into the house! ;D

Neat idea, I'd never seen the original cooking box! That sure looks simple enough. ;D Thanks Bob!
