What improvements would you do?

It has always been Hubby's and my dream to have our place totally off the grid power wise.

We have been keeping an eye on the newer windmills...... we sure have enough wind here to keep us in power. The price has been coming down for the more reliable ones.
Would have to build a small shed to house the equipment.

Another is the newer solar panels that can be used in a clime with heavy cloud cover at least half the year. Though it does not store up as much as the older models.

Would like a real fireplace made of stone, where we could burn normal wood.

A raised garden to make it easier on my gimpy body to raise food.

Would like Water out to the horses.

A nice Hen house like we built at the old farm.... and a collection of nice looking (ok sort'a nice looking...) Storage like Sheds for shelters and hay storage.. as we had at the old place. That way our taxes would not go up.

Ditch the area's where it tends to get swampy.

Finish getting the place properly fenced.

Oh....and did I say we would have to win the lottery to do all this?!

Ours is more finishing our house than anything else.

We never put in a walkway to the front door. We've always used the back door and now our company does too.

We put in cheap carpeting "temporarily" until we had more money for a better floor. Still don't have the money to put in a nice floor.

The basement is supposed to be a finished "tv/rec" room. Still no money to finish it up.

I never did get a good living room sofa, or a real dining room set either.


Maybe one of these days. I'm happy with what I have though. I am very lucky to have gotten this far.

Oh... goodness I am not unhappy here... I love this place!!
Just would like to be able to do some improvements and make it easier on this gimpy body. ;D
