well my new toy got delivered yesterday. i'm getting ready to start my own business as an owner operator. being new to the area i figure my first year or two is more about getting to meet the local contractors than getting ahead. i've be doing dirt work for 18 years now. but not in this area and rarely on any equipment this small. i'm glad the guys that broke me in to the industry can't see me now  . there would be no end to the ribbing  i'd get.  and just so i don't get accused of hiding behind my work wear.  |

Oh man Dirty....you are lucky!! I don't know how your area is, but around here you would have so much business you would be begging for a day off!
I can tell you that here, it cost $100 a hour to have someone with a machine like that come and work. I'm not going to show this to my dh, he would drool on my keyboard and start muttering about what he could do with a machine like that, lol.

Hence, 'dirty'! I always wondered........ actually guys started calling me that at work because i never washed my company truck. went close to two years once, only cleaned off the windshield once in awhile. the owner of the company yelled at me a couple of times about not washing my truck. then later called me dirty to one of the salesman, it stuck after that. i miss that job. |

A shame yer across the Big Mac Kaza the general feeling around here seems to be that the only thing wrong with the UP is the bridge ;D and the boat anchor attached to the southern end. it's nothing personal, I'm sure. |

Nice toy! You'd be busier than a one-legged man man in a butt-kicking contest around here.
One of the guys I work with does some dirt work on the side. He admittedly has no idea what he's doing and even HE stays busy!
(Yes, he warns potential victims ahead of time about his lack of skill. He compensates by being super cheap. I think he accepts payment in beer or something.)
