Backing up a site!

Well color me embarrassed, our old site wasn't backed up so we lost all of the posts and the member list.

Now, that's where you come in Mark! ;D I know we need to do it on a periodic basis but how often and an even better question is how to do it.

We're counting on you man; don't let us down!!

Teach us/me what we need to do to be sure that we never have to go through this drill again!
Remember as you explain; I'm computer terminology challenged!
