Are there different 'versions' of PhotoShop?
I'm looking for the one that lets you manipulate photo's to make cute composites.
And is $100- $130 about the standard price for a copy? I saw some listed on the net and was wondering.

I use Photoshop 7.0, which is an older version. I think the newest is CS2 which is really expensive - I think over $600 when I last checked it. Maybe it's gone down in price?
If you decide to get an older version, I wouldn't recommend going back further than 6.0 because there were a bunch of features added in that release.
This is really heavy-duty software; like Excel, I have not even begun to scratch the surface of all the things it's capable of!

Hi, it's me again... I just went to the Adobe site (http://store.adobe.com) and see that Photoshop is $649 There are some cheaper software programs released by Adobe that sometimes come bundled with digital cameras, etc. Those are programs like Adobe Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Album, Photoshop Limited Edition, or PhotoDeluxe - these aren't exactly the same as THE Photoshop but may serve your purpose at a more reasonable price. Another option is to buy a licensed copy of an older Adobe and then upgrade for $170. That's still a bit expensive but it could be an option for you. /VM
