Per memaws post: My "Back to Top" feature doesn't work, nor can I click on emoticons (in the "reply" mode--not "Quick Reply") to add them to my posts. I accidentally discovered and just because I wanted to indicate (in type, at least) smiling and laughing. But clicking on the emoticons just doesn't work. I do have them enabled, and HTML is enabled also. Could it have something to do with the fact that I'm using a Mac and not a PC? This is the first site where I've had this difficulty. Help anyone?
Ok memaw. the first thing I have to ask is do you know what java version for the mac you are running. One thing that I have noticed about this forum is there are a few weird quirks about the way that it is programmed to handle things.

I have an eMac and am using OS9.2. Do you know what I need to do to find out about java?

OK, I searched my hard drive for java. I have java, but no version numbers are listed. Still unable to use smilies or Back to Top features here at Phoenix..... any progress made as to what I need to do?

I just wanted you to know we're not ignoring you! ;D I know absolutely nothing about Macs and Mark/Puter Wiz is here sort of hit & miss since his Grandmother has been ill. So hang in there, hopefully he or another member will have some idea how to get the cool smileys & other features to work for you.

So sorry 'bout PW's gramma. Naw, I've been gone awhile, so thought I'd check to see if any progress had been made. Usually PC-types aren't a lot of help with Macs....

No, I always use OS9.2 because it's what I learned on and know. Plus, every time I go into OSX then back to OS9 there are newly created glitches in OS9 so I stay out of OSX.

OK, today I'm in OSX and back to top works. Smilies work but not working right. I can click on one and it shows up, but if I click on a smiley, then type something, then click on another smiley, the new smiley shows up, plus everything that I've typed so far gets repeated. Weird. Any advice?
