What all do you have in your start up items?
I have unchecked everything, is there anything I really need to have in start-up?

Hmmm, when I start up the computer my desktop appears, so does my lower bar with Word, Excel and all those goodies and my Yahoo starts up. Is that what you meant? I rarely turn off my computer since I'm on DSL, maybe once every 3 wks.  |

No but I figured out what I needed.
When I do scan disk and defrag I have do to it a different way for some reason. Yesterday I did something different to try to see how that worked.
Start - Run - MISCONFIG - OK - clicked start-up tap and I deleted everything in my start up.
I thought everything was OK. So I was going to leave then all unchecked. Then I couldn't get anyother site but here (LOL) I couldn't get Hotmail or any other email program I use. So I went back and checked everything with Norton Security in it and walla now everything works.
I don't think I will try that again. I about freaked! But told myself to calm down and figure it out! Next month I am going back to the other way I was doing defrag and scan disk (in safe mode).
