The Gardener's Morning
The robin's song at daybreak Is a clarion call to me.Get up and get out in the garden, For the morning hours flee.
I cannot resist the summons, What earnest gardener could? For the golden hours of morning Get into the gardener's blood.
The magic spell is upon me, I'm glad that I did not wait; For life's at its best in the morning, As you pass through the garden gate.g - Howard Dolf

How true that is! I love morning in the garden better than any other time. Something about the quality of the light just after sunrise makes everything look so bright and vibrant and alive. ~Lannie

I try to be in the garden by 6am, the sun is up and all of the birds & squirrels are out. As I quietly work around the plants, it's like there's a concert of bird songs surrounding me. The squirrels are so trusting of me, they'll come play at the edge of the garden-sometimes burying hickory nuts in the soft soil. I love early morning, winter or summer. It's just more peaceful & makes my spirit dance..

Early this morning I was in the bathroom for my first visit of the day. I looked out the window and saw a beautiful sight. It was my DH bent over harvesting more veggies. How gorgeous!
(Hey it's better than me bending over and picking!)
