What's your secret? I tried squash and made... baseballs? They were hard to cut and I couldn't get them very soft when I cooked them. I've always heard they were prolific but I didn't have very many... is it a climate thing? I didn't even try this year and I'm kicking myself after seeing your garden!

Your corn is beautiful! What kind did you plant? I always plant Bodacious...but it doesn't do as well here as it did in Oklahoma! I will have to find out what grows well here! Did you buy plants for your peppers or plant seeds? Your peppers sure look healthy...ALL of your plants look healthy!

The corn is my favorite... "Peaches and Cream". The Peppers are greenhouse plants, cuz the ones I started in the house got froze right after I planted them. They were those cool colored ones to! Boy! was I mad!!
I'm getting anxious to have goodies to eat outta there though!

Oh, Kaza, it's so beautiful, I'm in tears. Mine garden is totally gone now. The hail finally finished it. I might end up with a couple of pounds of scarred tomatoes, if they ripen, and possibly one or two yellow squashes, but everything else is leafless or dead and I don't think it has time to come back this summer. All that work for nothing. But that's how gardening is, isn't it? Maybe next year I'll get something. Right now I've just let the weeds have it. I don't even want to look out there now. But there's next year, and stupid me, I'll be planting seeds next spring. At least you gotta give me credit for trying (or is that just stubborn?)! ~Lannie

Kaza, that is probably the most beautiful garden I've ever seen. My gosh girl, you've got not only a green thumb but a whole green hand. I've never planted pole beans but those look so good, when I get a garden again, I'm going to give them a try. You must spend a lot of time out there pampering those veggies, it shows!

Thanks guys. Lannie, next year's garden will be awsome for you. If you are like me, you start planning it when harvesting this years, and then plan ALL winter long! lol Usually by Feb-March I have my seeds and have figured out what is going to be planted where. Kathy, you won't be disapointed with pole beans. I usually plant Blue Lakes, but there are soo many types. They are easier to pick also. Kaza

Nan.... I know it's 30' wide and I'd guess about 100' long..? I did measure the width for the
rows, but never measured the length. Believe it or not, everything in there is stragigally
planted to help with bugs etc...

WOW...that is a nice size garden! Mine is eeeny.....only about 30 by 50. I would like to make it bigger...but hubby is trying to keep me from over doing it ........my gardens always seem to get larger over time! LOL! He(DH) generally fences the garden to keep me IN and not necessarily for keeping animals out! Our old house...back in OKlahoma had to grow enough veggies for our then larger family. It was 200 by 100...or half an acre give or take....it was a LOT to take care of even with the kids helping me! So.......30 by 50 will have to do me for awhile! After seeing your gorgeous garden though....I will have to hold myself back!
