I (LOST) used to have a free pattern from McCalls for a quilt titled: Stairway To Cat Heaven. If anyone has the pattern...which is not available for downloading anymore online...please let me know!

That is it! It used to be a free dowload...I guess I will do a little more searching and if I cannot find it for free, I will order it.
Thanks a million! At least I know that it is still available. It was way back a long time ago when I found it. I made one of them and gave it away for a raffle.

I clicked through 34 different links and all of them redirected to the McCalls site which no longer has it posted. I finally found this one, isn't that weird that such a popular pattern would be so elusive. I did see some very pretty finished quilts while doing the search though; I am so envious of that sort of talent! ;D

You have more patience than I do...I think I gave up after searching the first thirty or so! I even looked on ebay for my pattern...nothing! Anymore, everyday life is just plain weird. Weird is the norm now. Believe me, I know, I am back on the dating scene.... If I was looking to be a 'walk in mother', 'find a drunk/sex partner, or to be a maid to some social disgrace, I hit the jackpot! (I am seriously thinking about trying to find someone online through personals.... ) TH

I agree about the weirdness of life. I don't know what online personals you're thinking about but I've heard that Farmers Only is a bit more country but you'll still probably find a few 'odd ducks'. Good Luck with the pattern and the dating potentials.

I have given up on the dating game lately, and have decided to clean the house and sheds out! Selling or giving away what I do not need or use. I am now working in the house because of the heat and weather...lighting hit the house two nights ago and blew two large transformers off of the poles..... I thought that I had dead horses all over the pastures, but they made it through that storm somehow. Now I am cutting out quilt pieces! I am going to 'use up' my old scrap fabrics and making lap quilts for the nursing home residents I am trying to find a pattern to make the 'walker bags'....if anyone knows of a pattern online, let me know. Thank you so much! I have been going through scraps of fabric like crazy! I had enough stashed away to make quite a few lap quilts....I just need to find a good (cheap) source of batting!
I just bought another sewing machine today that has quite a few new stitches for decorating, as well as it is bigger and I can do more machine quilting!
There are two nursing homes in my area; one is for the 'rich folks' and the other one is for the lower income residents. The limited income nursing home has 76 residents, so I want to make them all something nice....such as lap quilts or walker totes...depending on their needs. The residents at that nursing home hardly ever get any visitors....or gifts....so I want to bring them something that will brighten their day.
I was raised by my grandparents, so I really like making those visits...the rewards are great! You should see those people light up!

Finally! My Stairway to Cat Heaven pattern arrived! Now I have an excuse to go shopping for new fabrics! It takes 10-12 prints, plus the backing, bindings and border. I already have the fabric for the 'starry sky'. TH

TH, between the Stairway quilt and the seniors project, you will be a busy gal at least until fall arrives. Enjoy the new sewing machine, that's always fun. I am hoping to give my new Singer a try one of these days-as soon as I get unpacked. ;D

Hi Thunderheart - you do sound very busy with your sewing projects. Good projects you are doing. I'm wondering, what type of sewing machine did you get for yourself? I always like to talk sewing machines lately. And I know sooner or later Kathy will be doing some sewing and her machine will not fill neglected. Angie
