I think I'm starting to get eggs from my little ones that hatched a couple days after you got your babies. I ended up with 3 pullets out of that batch the hen hatched under the hedge, and within the last few days I've gotten two very small eggs from the nestbox. They look suspiciously like pullet eggs! So now my laying flock is increased from 11 to 14. I can't wait for Spring, when they start laying in earnest. It's amazing how time flies when you're not paying attention. I looked at that first pullet egg for the LONGEST time, trying to figure out who must have laid such a tiny egg, then it hit me! Those little ones are 5 months old now! So, Kaza, do you have any pictures of your little girls all grown up? Please, please, pretty please? ~Lannie

My hen eggs are freezing faster than I can get them gathered. I have a little heat in the chook house, but I cannot heat it too much or risk burning it down...it is a very old and dry henhouse...with square nails! I have a few Bantam Cochins in there, so it is hard to tell if they are Bantam or pullet eggs.... I want to get the incubator all ready and find some new eggs to hatch! I been watching the auctions on ebay, but with it freezing out....I am not sure about shipping them. I have recieved eggs from NH in the middle of winter storms and had about all of them hatch! My new parakeet makes me 'think and feel' spring....she really sings a lot! Aaahh, SPRING! TH
