2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 3 pounds boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut into strips 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 medium onion chopped half a cup reduced-sodium soy sauce 2 teaspoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of salt half teaspoon of ground ginger half a teaspoon of black pepper 3-4 bell peppers, cut into strips quarter cup of cold water 1 tablespoon of cornstarch hot cooked rice
1.) Heat oil in large skillet over medium-low heat. Brown steak strips, in two batches. Add garlic and pan juices to 4-7 quart crock-pot slow cooker.
2.) Add onion, soy sauce, sugar, salt, ginger and black pepper to slow cooker; mix well. Cover; cook on low 6-8 hours or until tender ( up to 10 hours)
3.) Add bell pepper strips during final hour of cooking. Blend water cornstarch until smooth; stir into slow cooker. Cooked uncovered, on high 15 minutes or until thickened. Serve with rice. Makes 6-8 servings

Kathy, I also love my slow cooker. I do no know what I would do with out it, I am a single mom, so I have to prepare things before I go out and make money...and when I come back dinner is done. I love it. I will be posting tons of slow cooker recipes. Besides I think it also taste better because it has been cooked longer, more flavor.
