I'm doing the final planning on my garden this year. What are you all planting? Kathy, you still going to have a garden out of town? Kaza[/size]

I have a rather large container garden on my balcony but I decided not to do the out of town one too. I found that my days are pretty full & since my work hours vary from week to week, trying to fit in a large garden 15 miles away might be a challenge. But I do have 8 tomato plants, 6 sweet peppers, 8 hot peppers(Thai, Serrano & Tabasco), zucchini, onions, garlic, green beans, 3 kinds of mint, two kinds of thyme, oregano, tarragon, marjoram & two kinds of basil all doing beautifully on my balcony.

We're getting rains spaced JUST right to prevent me from getting anything planted. All we've gotten from the garden is asparagus, but it's doing really well. Great big thumb-thick spears. I have tomatoes and peppers put in, but it was pretty wet when I planted them. They were getting big so I just went ahead and mudded them in. They're doing OK but they need sun and warmer temperatures. Once it stops raining enough to plant seeds it'll probably stop altogether and burn everything up. So my garden season is off to another slow start. A pity since I have some decent soil to work with after adding the manure and other stuff last Fall. Hopefully things will improve and I'll get a garden yet.
