Since DH's hospital visit in April he knows he can't eat any berries or nuts. Now I am getting innundated with blackberries and raspberries from the garden. I think they are producing 3 times as much now that DH can't eat them. Poor DH picks them and can't even eat them!

That's a torture that would make the Marquis de Sade envious! I remember the hospital episode but not the specifics. The dietary restriction sounds like he had a bout of diverticulitis? If so, I've heard that's not a pleasant thing to have. Don't know what to advise other than telling you not to eat those berries in front of DH. Do your bit to avoid domestic violence! ;^)

Aww poor man, that's so difficult. I wonder, could you use a Victorio Strainer with the berry screen to make seedless berry pulp. That could be made into slushies, ice cream, syrup and jam. I feel his pain, I can't have even a small amount of corn & for years before the medical issues; corn on the cob was one of my all time favorite summer treats. It seems like every summer BBQ includes corn on the cob. I haven't had any corn since 1986 and to this day, the smell still makes my stomach growl.

So far he can eat corn. Go figure. He really did come close to buying the farm in April. He won't eat a single berry or nut now, and I don't blame him.
This is the first year that the raspberries have really come in strong. They sure are delicate though. They bruise/overripen too easily!
