Wow, this is great! Now I'm on pins and needles too! Just like a good soap opera. Bob I love the way you have that set up! And those little feeders that screw onto mason jars, I've been looking everywhere for those! Can't seem to find them in Canada, or at least in my neck of the woods. Just wait till I start breeding my Blue Splash Cochins and Light Standard Brahmas, they are rare around here too. We'll have to compare breeding notes !!!!

those little feeders and waterers are great for the little ones. I got them at a local farm and home store. the only other place that I have seen them is at cackle hatchery, you may try there

they called and said the visa card was declined. we double checked the numbers and address every thing should have been ok . the card works every where else.
I told them to just forget it. if I order from them I need to send them a check and wait 3 weeks for it to clear
OOOHHH!!!!!!

Geesh, I'm starting to think this place doesn't have it's act together. Something doesn't sound right-first the delays and now they put the shipping halt on you. It could be weird coincidences but my suspicious side says they're using the card decline as an excuse. I hope you can find another place that has the kind of chicks you want. Have you checked out Urch & Turnland in southern MN? They sold many of the more rare breeds. I used to get their catalog/pamplet. I'll have to see if I can find a phone number or address for you.

That's a VERY good point Kathy! The stalling that's going on here too is unreal. Danged Bird Flu thats what it is!!! I'm beginning to think they are waiting to see if something happens!!! It's getting rediculous

6 WEEKS ?!?!?!? Do you have any breeders around you can drive to? Here we have a fella who breeds and orders in birds of all kind, very well done, it's an hour and a half drive and you have to make an appointment, but it's like going shopping in a chicken mall! Ecstasy! Mind you he hasn't been answering his phone this spring, so who knows what's going on this year

I wonder if everyone is having as much trouble getting their chick orders filled? Has anyone heard if this has become a widespread problem with All hatcheries-and why?
