Bob those are some nice eggs and maran's.
The problem with the Maran's in the US is they are original from British stock. The stock is a bit watered down.
If we want to have eggs as Dark as they are in France we will have to bring in real Maran's from France.
Maran's are original from a part of France were most of that side of my family came from. There used to be Maran's in the French areas of Nova Scotia but I do not know if there are any more in those areas.
But for Maran eggs in the USA yours look really nice!
